  1. Liking the non-availability after hours thing.

Unfortunately for me, it’s mostly my customers bothering me, not my boss

  2. The right to disconnect was already guaranteed to all federal civil servants by Petra De Sutter. The rule also applies now to companies with 20 employees or more.

  3. The liberals ( corporates, might be confusing for non Belgians) are crowing victory, i’m trying to find the fine print of these deals. Don’t know enough to see what the effects of the added flexibility with notice ( opzeg ) will be.
The 4 day workweek is cosmetic ( as it is proposed here), you’re still working as long and hard for the same amount of money.

What are the 8 criteria that determine whether someone is an employee/ self-employed? Because i’m betting they will all be self-employed in the end…and they’r getting taxpayer insurance?, yes let’s subsidize these companies…

Last but not least, is the government curtailing unions? Acting as scabs for e-commerce companies.?

  4. Can someone explain the 4 day work week without the same pay to me? Isn’t that already the situation right now? As in, you can work 4/5 for 4/5 salary. Why is that news?

  5. Overall a pretty neutral deal. The measures regarding e-commerce and evening work are a step in the right direction. But I fail to see how this will have any significant influence on the *tewerkstellingsgraad*.
