I can’t imagine Putin being crazy enough to push the button. He wants to stay alive with his billions of Russian citizen’s rubles.
Russia has failed to act on every prior red line and a failure to do so means that the logical, strategic route is to continue to ignore subsequent red lines based on past evidence. This strategy has been successful and supported by people with political, military and intelligence backgrounds.
Only direct evidence, not conjecture, should change this strategy. Delays in providing permission or arms only serve to get people killed unnecessarily.
Which threat? The one over toast, the one over lunch time beets or the one over evening vodka……. And that’s just today!
Russia’s nuclear threats are simply posturing. They won’t start World War 3 (of which Russia won’t even be a part, because they would be 100% completely decimated in the first 8 hours) over Ukraine. As soon as Russia is serious about negotiations including reparations and giving back the land they invaded, the rest of the world and Ukraine will come to the table. That result sure beats being wiped off the face of the earth.
Oh look, some experts, suggesting Russia is full of shit.

Don’t fear them. But do be ready with decisive responses should Putin try to use them, say, on a target inside Ukraine.
I feel like the Biden admin is at the sunk cost stage of it’s sadistic micromanaging approach. Hope Harris is an opportunity to get out of that.

Russia is frequently compared to ww2 Germany, for good reasons, but I believe the west needs to treat Russia the same way Hitler treated the pre war allies.
