  1. He’s come round to everyone else’s way of thinking already.

  2. So the past idk how many years it was unpopular voluntarily when it didn’t have to?

  3. I’m fine with them being unpopular for a while, so long as they do what is best for the country and no random shit like the Tories.

The vast majority of the population do not understand cause and effect in relation to economic changes, so would never be able to understand “some pain now means less pain later”. Hell, look at the dumb posts we’ve had about inflation over the past 2 years to see what the Government is dealing with in terms of economic knowledge.

  4. Labours a one term gig, but personally I don’t vote.

  5. It might be accepted, if they didn’t seemingly spend far more than they’re saving on asylum seekers and housing illegal immigrants…

I still have hope for Labour actually, but they’ve got to do something in the shorter term that impacts people positively, because as a country we haven’t had that for a long time, and people have no patience left.

  6. Well looks like someone has already given up on being reelected

  7. Great, be unpopular! But don’t pig headedly keep Brexit going just to appease a small minority of people! Got a trade deficit!? Going back to the single market will fix that, don’t make us still pay for shit decisions that clearly are not working, when you have the power to do something about it. Further, money misspent, embezzled, passed off on dodgy crony deals by the past government? Prosecute them!!!

  8. Are we surprised that a new government with a massive majority are taking the unpopular decisions as far away from the next election as possible?

  9. If I wanted Austerity I could have just voted Tory.
