Three random facts about Bath…
Bath was made a city in 1590 by Queen Elizabeth I.
[Pulteney Bridge, dating from 1774,](https://imgur.com/a/Pcjpnho) has shops built across its full span on both sides and is 45 metres (148 ft) long and 18 metres (58 ft) wide.
The author Jane Austen lived in Bath in the early 1800s. Each year there is a ten day Jane Austen festival in Bath. [Next year’s is 9th-18th September.](https://www.janeaustenfestivalbath.co.uk)
My home town!
Bath is lovely but how are you supposed to wash? Does the soap work underwater or do you stand up? Do you just let yourself soak? Pls halp.
I was in Bath, lovely city!
Went to bath for the first time ever this summer, it was during that brief period where it was 30 degrees so it was quite hot. Lovely place though, nice to be in a city in England where all the buildings look nice
My favourite place in England (also bloody expensive)!
I love Bath. Somerset is my favourite place in Britain overall. I would love to live there one day.
Prettiest English city to me.
Got engaged in Bath. Absolutely amazing city.
This is r/europe
Edit: UK has left Europe
Lived there for 4 years as a student. Fantastic place to live.
I went to Bath in the late 90s and witnessed a double murder. Beautiful city though, expensive sandwiches as I recall.
