Is this Scotland’s most confusing street parking?

  1. There’s never an incentive to make these things easy to understand. People will either pay more than they need to as they’re scared of getting a ticket, or they’ll make a mistake and end up with a ticket which is a tidy earner for whoever is running it.
By changing the rules (even just making it the most expensive and restricted price and regulations throughout) there would likely be a reduction in revenue due to people not being issued penalties.

We regularly see people post confusing signs that could easily be much clearer but what’s the point if making it easier for people if you can just charge them £60 for getting it wrong ?

And people say it’s the private parking companies that are unfriendly.

    Edited : terrible spelling.

  2. It would be nice if instead of you guessing how long you need: your car gets recognised when you head in and you punch your reg in to pay when you leave getting a fairer time, and price.

Sometimes you don’t know if opticians will be 25 mins or 55 so you have to hedge and go even further out which is just profiteering.

    Sigh.
