Hello, I am here to talk about this book and it’s series. I found this book in a national trust and i have to say it’s one of the best Local histories i have read of Devon. It’s dated to July 1954 and contains many prints, photographs and maps from the time such as the one attached.
Any comment on the others in the series would be brilliant

Why is it good?
I read the series ‘X’s Strangest Tales’ – currently Cornwall, although Yorkshire was great. My favourite was London’s peculiar tales (or something) and it’s chock full of incredible true tales, escapades and biographies.
