  1. When you have the KGB orthodox Church repeating everyday on every channel, ” Dying for the right cause is the most human thing we can do” – NPC’s are real.

  2. That is beyond crazy. The people of Russia have to wake up.

  3. Unfortunately this won’t end until Putler dies.

  4. I’m sure Putin appreciates their sacrifice for ~~him~~ Russia.

  5. I wonder what the real numbers are. Guess we really have to wait for them for the conflict to end one way or another.

  6. Equivalent to the population of Luxembourg, Portland, Oregon or Palermo, Italy.

  7. Russia was already suffering with a low birth rate before the war. Now you have however many young males either fleeing Russia, dying or injured.

Even if Russia somehow “wins”, it’ll still be on a negative trajectory

  8. As a comparison, in all the years we fought in Vietnam, our total losses were just under 59,000.

  9. Damn, that 6 times more than the active personnel of my country, the Philippines. I’ve never heard of people dying at that number except during history class, a worldwide pandemic, or a natural disaster.

That’s a lot of dead bodies. I know the babushkas are missing their sons but what’s the cutoff?

  10. And their whole country of drunken idiots simply doesn’t care. Because they’re evil. It’s the closest thing the modern world has to Mordor.

  11. We’re witnessing an unrecoverable demographic implosion

  12. I find it very amusing that Ukraine can accurately predict the number of Russian casualties but don’t know its own casualties.
I understand it’s all part of psychological warfare and propaganda and even Russians do it.
But how come people from west on reddit believe it so blindly and start discussing it like there’s no exaggeration on their part?

  13. Just remember most of them “don’t count.”

The *Wagner* mercenaries don’t count, because they’re not real ethnic Russians.  And they tried to overthrow Putin anyway.

The conscripts from the outer regions don’t count because they’re not real ethnic Russians and if they were doing their jobs the war would be over already anyway.

The new recruits don’t count because they’re not ethnic Russians, and because they took the money.  Hell half of them are foreigners.  Indians and Iranians *really* don’t count.

Only the ethnic Russian (in America we’d call them **white**) conscripts from Moscow count.

  14. Will Russia get partitioned? If they are okay loosing that many men, what is stopping China from invading and taking back its former territory? Russia already has one of the largest gender imbalances with 10 million more women than men 46/54 percent men/women. While there are close to 174 million Russians, you have to think loosing that many men will start to impact more and more families.

  15. Saying ‘Yes sir’ to any orders has gotten so many humans killed on this earth

I wonder if we will ever evolve to a point of not being such sheep

  16. I live in Tasmania, that’s more than the entire population on this island. 🤯

  17. During World War II, it is estimated that around **8.7 million Soviet military personnel** died as a result of combat, disease, and other war-related causes. This figure is part of the broader toll of the Soviet Union’s losses, which also includes millions of civilian deaths.

The total number of Soviet deaths, including both military personnel and civilians, is estimated to be between **24 million and 27 million**. These figures make the Soviet Union the country with the highest casualty count in the war.

The exact number of military deaths remains uncertain due to incomplete records, but the number generally accepted by historians is approximately 8.7 million.

    and they “won”.

  18. Well I wonder if they saved money on the incarceration bill, not that it was club fed, but they certainly must have emptied some of the prison cells

  19. Does loss solely mean dead or does this include surrender and deffected?

  20. Bitch Putin is still sending troops into the grinder. He will not care even if that number reaches 1 million casualties. The only thing he cares about is himself.

  21. And what has Ukraine’s losses been? Around 200,000 was the amount I heard. This war needs to end. And it needs to end soon with a Ukrainian victory.

  22. I’m pro Ukraine, but this isn’t a reliable source at all.

  23. Did they look under the couch? I always lose shit there

  24. Sadly, the lives of 600,000 people could have been spared in Ukraine if not for the reckless decisions made by leadership. Many could have stayed safe at home if the situation had been handled differently. It’s hard to feel pity when you see a lot of Russian commoners supporting Vladimir Putin.

  25. they’re fighting a war, they honestly should find them asap
