i’d say the nephew won’t be happy – will probably have to sell off some of the farm to come up with the cash.

I bet there are a few people worried about this setting a precedent.
This is why it’s important that if you want to purposely exclude someone in your will, that you name them or leave something tiny. That way they can’t say they were overlooked or forgotten.
