Hi,
thanks for all the tips and all the previous posts. After a couple of weeks in the Arctic, it even surpassed my #1 country so far, the magnificent Iceland. I never had a better vacation, and I'm amazed at how there's little to no people during summer, while the beauty of the nature is exquisite (as a Croat, I have high standards 😁, but we're crowded during summer).

Our goals were mostly hiking and culture, and, of course, a bit of Santa. 😁 Our route started from Helsinki, with a detour in Talllinn, then Rovaniemi, Saariaelkä, Inari and upnorth to Kevo. Not only did I pet baby huskies, I'm basically adding amethyst mining to my CV 😅

In Saariselkä, a reindeer decided to chill on our porch. As an animal lover, I squeaked like an excited toddler. But we also, against a lot of odds, managed to see the Northern lights right from our backyard. I couldn't have asked for more.

We're 8k euros short 😅, but my husband and I tried all the great food, bought all the liquor and chocolates (go, Fazer!), and ended up with 56.3 kgs of luggage that prompted an impromptu Tetris at the airport, that also included chugging down a 0.5 can of Karhu. Follow me for more travel tips! 🤣

Gonna share my fav (phone, I'm an idiot) photos and encourage fellow travelers to try out summer vacation in a heavenly untouched nature sanctuary. Thanks for all the great tips!

Kiitos! 🥰
