    She is 100% correct. The fact that she recognizes that all Trump does is lie and speak untruths is already a good indication that she will do significantly better than Biden during the debate. Not to mention she is sharp and coherent, while all Trump can seem to do lately is give rambling, unintelligible answers while throwing insult after insult.

  14. He’s also going to ramble off subject when he’s on mic, this past weekend he was asked about what he’ll do about childcare and his answer was about tariffs… Not one word about childcare.

She knows it too – her primary goals are to get wide distro on her policies and to enshrine his reputation as unfit for the Presidency, but an unspoken goal is to have him go for the gutter.

  28. I’d like to see them have some live-ish fact checking going on somewhere. She should spend a few seconds acknowledging that there are too many lies just told to correct and refer to said accounts/websites each time it’s her turn.

  30. I mean it’s such an understatement. He doesn’t just lie. He lies about lies that are built upon a foundation of lies based on an entire fabricated alternative reality filled with buzzwords and conspiracies and inside jokes.

    It would take hours to break down and explain all of the various lies in a single one of his 60 second answers.

In all honesty, the bottom has already fallen out, I’d have more respect for her if she turned to him after an inane ramble and said “What the fuck was that?!” I’m tired of acting like these extremists are even remotely normal. One of their talking points right now is that shes left of Bernie Sanders. If Trump repeats it and she’s on his left I’d hope she comes back with “No Donald I’m on you’re left, remember you make the little L with your hands?” I know it’s playing in the mud, but at this point they’ve moved the window well past mud.

  32. Maybe go opposite to take him off guard. Start by opening with “Trump is the tallest, richest, most handsome, intelligent President ever possibly. With the largest crowds at rallies and inauguration. Now that we don’t need to debate all those lies, maybe we can make this debate purely about policies to help the American people.”

    He would be utterly clueless and so overly focused on the praise he would lose his shit, possibly literally. He has zero actual policies to help americans that aren’t super wealthy.

    Seriously? I’m counting on it. And I hope Harris pins him down on every one of his lies or non-answers and expose him for his lack of mental acuity and the outright fraud he is.

  36. The issue with Trump is that he believes the truth is what he says it is. Saying he is lying doesn’t register to him, his voters, or anyone. It’s a waste of time. She can point them out, but it keeps people trapped in his sphere. She needs to capture attention herself.

    She needs to talk about what he will do, about how this is the most anti female ticket in history. She needs to get emotional, talk about women who are suffering or have suffered due to his actions. Hopefully she pulls a card from his playbook and fills the seats with women who had to flee states to get medical care, and maybe some of his sexual assault victims too (if they are willing).

    She needs to remind people that he is a rich guy, and he put tax cuts in place that benefited rich people. He doesn’t have middle class policies, he just promises that he will take things from undocumented people and give them to his supporters.

    She also needs to remind people about what the Trump years were really like for many people and the culture that he would put in place again. Racism, sexism, harassment of trans people, bungled COVID response.

    At the same time she needs to differentiate herself from the Biden years. She can assert her own policies and tone. Honestly she needs to present a grounded, positive, disciplined alternative.

  39. Little d onald Trump still using the same OLD playbook. He’ll be Complaining, while Kamala is Campaigning.

  40. I wish she would go a little meta and point out how he speaks for 4-5 minutes without actually saying anything. Tell the audience he’s going to repeatedly reuse phrases like “better/worse than ever before in history” or “frankly, at levels we’ve never seen before”. Call him out for being on autopilot with no working knowledge of the topics or much variation in his answers accordingly. Point out that the majority of the “best people” he apppointed to his cabinet refused to endorse him now.

    One of the last debates or town halls, he was asked specific policies to lower inflation and he spent 5 minutes talking about how inflation is bad and that it’s “when prices are higher” without, even once, offering a policy or idea to help. Call him out on that stuff and expain exactly what he’s doing.

    And, for once, knock him back on his platform-shoed heels until he’s so mad he says something inescapably stupid, racist, or misogynistic. Take the damn gloves off!

    He is the living epitome of the joke that asks how you can tell if someone is lying. His lips move. He doesn’t seem to be able to tell the truth.
