Imo still the best Belgium pils.

  1. As a Leuveneir, i don’t support.

Have the impression it became overly sweet in the last 20 years (probable when they added the cheaper corn in stead of barley)

I prefer not to support AB Inbev since most people consider them a shitty employer here, and the only reason they stay in Belgium is tax optimalization (so they say).

Vedett, Cristal and Primus i can appreciate.

Edit: from Cafe Central in a boereke i will drink it in summer.

  2. Primus. Ah, the aroma of malt coming off that place in Haacht is something to cherish. Vedett and Cristal are not bad either.

  3. I only drink like 4 beers a year, but I like a Stella. Recently i discovered bière des Amis which was really nice.

  4. I don’t know why North Americans love artois so much, it’s not even that good compared to other pils in belgium

  5. It’s funny. In the US, Stella is a premium product served in special glasses. In Belgium it is almost bottom shelf.

Yet Levi’s here are considered good but not premium, and in Belgium they’re €100 a pair.

    Branding, man.

  6. Back when I still drank alcohol, Stella would be my choice too. Less headache, less stomach trouble. I’m an alcholic and now 3 years, 2 months sober.

  7. Zennepils by far the best imo, there’s actually some flavor in there and isn’t owned by a huge billionaire company

  8. If that’s the best in your opinion you still need to taste a lot of beer i guess. Fuck inbev, shitty company that add pure sugar in beer to make it sweeter so people would drink it more, they almost pay 0 taxes and they treat their employees like shit.
Any reason why you would support this company?

  9. ik ben nu gestopt met alcohol te drinken, maar wanneer ik dronk was dit de enigste bier die ik kon binnenkrijgen lol
