  1. If the right wants a real chance of the presidency Le Pen, Pecresse and Zemmour have to build up an team.

The two to that would fall out after the first round have to back the winner of the three contestants.

  2. It would be interesting to extrapolate what who Pecresse & Zemmour would vote for if it’s Macron v Le Pen for example, that would give a better indication of where the swing votes may go.

  3. On the surface Le Pen has had a disastrous election campaign. High profile defections, including personal ‘betrayal’ from her niece with Zemmour’s arrival onto the scene.

Yet she’s still on track to make the 2nd round AND is polling 10 points better than 2017 vs Macron.

    I don’t understand.

  4. As much as i don’t like him Macron seem to be the best candidate in comparison to the others . Now do i want to vote for the best candidate ? Thats a different question entirely .

  5. Interesting that Le Pen is doing better than Pecresse in the second round. One would figure that Le Pen / Zemmour first round voters would vote for her in the second, while not necessarily the other way around, as quite a few Pecresse voters might prefer Macron to Le Pen / Zemmour for example. But then again different polls show different results and it is only 1 point difference.

  6. Still, the rise of the *far* far right to same voting share that the normal far right had in 2017, and the later one getting similar results than the old right used to get is very worrying.

  7. You don’t have to like Macron. You just have to dislike the others. That’s how politics work in democratic countries. It’s a bit sad but I cannot imagine it being any other way.
