4. Sounds like Russia is up to something, as usual.

5. For all of you who are wondering why;
   Russia seized more than 100m from Google to fund war propaganda.

   Seems like a good way to retaliate… cut all services in Russia on the sly.

7. Can’t verify. Just registered a new account, so it’s either restricted to some operators, or to phone numbers that are not linked to other accounts.

   (I did use VPN, but tass article mentions that even this shouldn’t help)

   ETA: according to habr comments, support said them the opposite: that phone number should be a new one while previously up to 5 accounts were allowed to be linked to a phone number(Russia reuses phone numbers, so if you buy a new SIM card, you have a chance of getting one with a number that’s already linked to services). Well, my phone should be connected to several accounts already, including a new one, and one I created a long time ago. I’m more confused.

   ETA#2: other resources from 2023 say that you can link 4 accounts to the same number. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
