There are two main problems with the chart that frequently circulates on social networks.
Those highlighting this chart take 1990 as the start of Internet adoption, which is far too early, and 2014 as the start of Bitcoin adoption, which is too late.
This choice is made to better serve their narrative.
The second problem is that Internet users use the Internet daily, whereas the users counted here for Bitcoin simply made a few purchases/sales of BTC, but they don’t use Bitcoin daily as an MoE.
However, it’s this real figure that needs to be taken into consideration: the number of people who use Bitcoin daily as an MoE. And that number is much lower!
