Why there’s no easy answer to Russia’s glide bombs. Allies are still discussing how to counter them, with officials indicating that Ukrainian drone attacks may be the best bet.

Seems to me the planes releasing the bombs need to be attacked.
And it’s pretty easy. Send serious numbers of capable Western planes. With capable missiles like Meteor.
Missile with 100km range. Fixed.
WTF?
They could have let Ukraine destroy the planes with ATACMs and Stormshadows. This is 1000% NATOs fucking fault.
not an expert but different missiles have different flight profiles and that determines what it can and can’t do
Meteor and a platform that can shoot them.
And all the SEAD / anti AA capabilities they can get their hands on.
It’s not that hard. They already have the airborne radar they need to counter it. What they need is long range anti air missiles that can be fired over the horizon. There’s literally no other solution besides giving them stealth fighters to get air supremacy, which isn’t happening.
Even with long range strikes, they’ll just move the airplanes further out. That will make them more expensive, take longer, cost more, and will reduce the number, but it’s not going to be a solution.
Go Ukraine, make Putin feel the pain.
The answer is actually quite easy:
On the ground.
