  1. Realized it would be nice to add content instead of link:
“We have listened to the Ukrainian-Canadian community and their thoughtful and heartfelt input.

TVO’s Board of Directors has decided to respect the feedback we have received, and TVO will no longer be supporting or airing Russians at War.

TVO will be reviewing the process by which this project was funded and our brand leveraged.”

    –            Chris Day, Chair, TVO Board of Directors ”

  2. TVO should have done this waaaayyyyy before the understandable uproar about this.
They need to have some serious internal investigation and soul searching as to how the whole thing came about. To me, it’s even WORSE than the recent bombshell where RT (Kremlin controlled Russian International news network), were sponsoring “Online c@ckhead influencers” to spout Russian twisted propaganda and narratives.
TVO is CANADIAN based and funded and they’re sponsoring Russian propaganda!!!!
This is beyond a Facepalm event…….😖

  3. We still need to work on TIFF to stop this Russian film from ever seeing the light of day.
Keep up the emails and calls and join the community protest.

  4. The did this to get people talking about their film festival. All in the name of marketing. Weak IMO

  5. I just want to know who exactly thought this was a good idea? Showing a pro-Russia film at a film festival that serves as anti-Ukrainian propaganda is like Woodrow Wilson showing a film that glorifies the KKK while presenting himself as a “progressive”.

  6. I had not read anything about TVO providing funding to this, only Canada Media Fund. In any case TVO recognizing they should not air proRU propaganda is a good thing.

  7. Can someone explain what “TVO” is? From what I could find, is it sort of like PBS in the US?

  8. Shame on TIFF for platforming this trash. Russian propaganda kills, you idiots.

  9. too little.. too late, comments wherein are proof of that.
