  1. i’m confused by the color scale. how is blue 0-3 but it is shown at the largest cities? Or is that the ranking?

  2. Normalizing for population will help so you don’t end up with this effect https://xkcd.com/1138/

  3. I dont get it. If Data Scientists are in demand then why no one could find a job? 🤔

  4. Data Scientists wanted! Apply here! Salary Range: 30-40k.

  5. Noticeably Austin, Charlotte, Columbus appear to be outperforming their MSA ranking. Seattle not as high as i expected.

  6. Data scientists are most wanted on this sub given the quality of the content.

  7. Would be cool to combine job markets, e.g., Silicon Valley jobs instead of Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Cupertino etc. all being separate.

  8. I stared at this for 5 minutes before i realized that the colors are rank, not number.

Just put the word “rank” above the legend.

  9. Why is Lynchburg hiring more data scientists than Dallas? What is there aside from Liberty? And why do you have it labeled as Campbell?

  10. You missed this bit “DataIsBeautiful is for visualizations that effectively convey information. Aesthetics are an important part of information visualization”

  11. You mean…. in cities with large populations… they want more of a profession than cities with smaller populations do?

This is barely data… and barely beautiful
