  2. Fantastic news to hear! And the fact it’s for 4 seasons (until the end of 28/29 season) is a big sign of trust that he’ll get more minutes even with Tibo firing on all cylinders.

    At least that’s what I hope happens, Lunin was amazing last season and one of the main reasons we won La Liga and UCL so he deserves to be given full support (might not be instantaneous with Tibo’s return) but it’s making it clear he’s going to be getting more minutes.

    Edit: Sounds like they counted the 4 seasons with 24/25 so his contract is until June 2028

  8. Honestly kinda wild he did that. I don’t really see it as a great career move for him unless the club is planning on moving on from Courtois soon, but it’s great to have him as a backup. I don’t think many big clubs need a new gk, a lot of good ones like him and Diogo Costa at Porto would be the first to be looked at if anyone needs one, but both stayed put this summer.
