If going hiking it’s always a good idea to bring a paper map and real compass. And obviously learn how to use them. Even if reception is perfect, you might lose battery or lose your phone.
But since there are little villages all around Lofoten I would assume 4G coverage is pretty good.
Telemor ? never heard about them..
You should only rely on OpenSignal for reception covrage data, you will find the app on app/play store
For the most part it looks like you are okay. But the most obvious reason you will lose signal (other than dropping your phone) is appallingly shite weather. So you are going to need a paper and a compass. Please study the map before heading out too.
In a heartbeat, just left Lofoten. LTE was everywhere on every hike from A, to Devil Path and a hike next to Henningsaer stadium

Call me old fashion, but I would never depend on electronics for navigation. I’ve had my cell phone die in -20 degrees too many times, and wouldnt rely on it even in the summer.
I usually bring at least a compass, although I would usually skip paper maps. A compass can bring me to safety as long as I know approximately where I am.
I wouldn’t rely on a phone as the only source of navigation in the first place
If your navigation depends on it, you download offline maps before going there.
GPS is independent of cell coverage.
If this concerns you looks like you’re planning on some very remote hikes, places where there might not be a trail. Always carry a compass, if you lose visibility in those kinds of places it usually means it became very wet very fast which can interrupt comms. If you have a general idea which direction you started, becomes much easier to orient with a compass.
They cant even cover all of Oslo, so not much reliant.
