I have been in a couple of carnival crushes. I’m a 16 stone man and it was scary as f.
One time my feet were off the floor and I had zero control of my movement. The other time I had to scramble over a flat bed truck to get out.
There is no crowd control and there are a few places where crowds always build.
Yes I’ve not been since I was trapped in a stampede.
I lived in it and when they were all trapped it took down my metal basement railings also the curb came away.
Yeah I’m surprised there hasn’t been a Hillsborough-style disaster but it seems inevitable with just how many people attend. And just like Hillsborough it will take a disaster on that scale for there to be actual reforms
