What happened to the dreaded “cancelling” of Russian culture? Too many still view Ukraine through the prism of Russian imperialism. Cultural imperialism lives on, even if its carriers often proclaim anti-colonial slogans. The space afforded to Russia remains unlimited

  1. How about to upload a link to the article, not just an image?

  2. I’m from Ukraine, speak Russian and have no interest in “Ukrainian” culture anymore. Nor to even some of my friends who speak Ukrainian, but are ashamed of what’s going on.

They told me how they were singing Russophobic songs in Australia 20+ years ago. The Bandrrrarism is entrenched and isn’t going away any time soon, but I guess Poland can enjoy dealing with it after the war.

  3. I don’t really know a lot of positive russian culture. Most is just them being trashy af, which I don’t want to relate to. But I know borscht and I love it. And I hear Alex Pian since 2022.

Also I don’t really see Russia as the cultural inheritor if the Sovjet Union. The Sovjets actually cared for what they say. Russians just babble and everything might or might not be meant serious.
