Maybe the massive mine field stops any real advances.

3000 russian troops are trapped between a) Tetkino in the west b) the Sudzha pocket in the east c) the Seym river in the north and d) a brand new ukrainian offensive across the border, south of Glushkovo. Their only escape are the poontoon bridges on the Seym, regularly smashed by the ukrainians.
The whole thing looks more and more like Dunkirk… except (hopefully) the russians won’t escape.
