Your Highestness, I have outlined the plans for Your new castle, there’s a nice big piece of flat land down in the va..
No, i want it …right…….. THERE!.
….ehm… that’s a very steep rock in the middle of nowhere, Your Masterfullnes, there’s no room for a castle, perhaps..
IWANTITRIGHTTHERE!!!
Yes Your incredibleness, I shall inform the mason. (bows, and backs out)
For the curious, the name of the country of Liechtenstein does ultimately originate from a castle. Just not this one, that one stands in Austria.
I can only imagine the Kings, Princes & Knights crossing this bridge during Medieval Ages.
I can’t stop zooming in to look at all the detail. It’s just incredible.
Preplace some charges on the bridge and you’re totally ready for zombie apocalypse
They must have had some really nasty neighbors.
I’ve always wondered what kind of person sees a big, jagged rock with 0 flat surfaces, and thinks “Hmm, that would be the perfect spot to build my castle!”
I took German classes in school for about 5 years (as third language) with the last lesson being around 10 years ago and I just now, at this very moment, realized that Lichtenstein means “bright rock”. It’s always just been a name to me, never really thought about the fact that it actually means something.
Obviously all names come from *something* but you know what I mean.
Plus my German is terrible.
I’m guessing the toilet/latrine was somewhere where your shit and piss can just slide off the side of the mountain?
