  1. > He’s an amazing actor. I think he’d give a very different performance to the one I did. Sometimes, coming in last minute is the best way. I think he ditched it like two weeks before they started shooting. It was really last minute. The script was well put together, so a lot of it was pretty clear what I actually wanted to do straight away. There was a couple of characters it took a little bit longer to find. Patricia came real quick, Dennis came real quick, Hedwig took a little while.

You want me to just go for it?” and he was like, “Yeah, we need to try something.” So we did it in the readthrough and after one scene of doing it, were like, “Done!”

  5. I am confused by this. Didn’t McEvoy bulk up for this movie. Not much bulking you can do in two weeks.

  7. He was incredible in Split. Totally overlooked by the major acting awards. Oscar-worthy.

  8. Actors are pretty eccentric. I remember reading how Heath Ledger’s agent said Heath almost bailed on *every* movie role he ended up doing haha

  12. Joaquin is building a bit of a reputation here for bailing on projects. Not a good look.

  13. Now I want to see Joaquim act in that role and there is no doubt he would have been *amazing*, but McAvoy gave the best performance of his career and probably in my personal top 10, so I cannot regret the switch.
