  1. They fucking better be, or they…we…us…them…are fuckity fucked

  2. Women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ are going to save our republic.

  3. My neighborhoods 90% percent black. There has been a noticeable increase in enthusiasm, and people wearing Kamala clothing in the past couple weeks. Let’s hope it translates to votes.

  4. This election reminds me so much of 2008. We have a huge enthusiasm gap but after two cycles with Democratic candidates who didn’t excite anyone the polls have no idea how to sort out who is a “likely voter”

The polls say it’s close, the media says it’s a horse race (of course), but one campaign is confident and energized and the other is downtrodden and flailing.

  5. Am I misreading this article? It seems extremely negative for Harris

    >Fifty-one percent of Black voters said they would cast their ballots for Harris if the election were held today. Only 27 percent said the same of former President Trump.

Trump getting 27% seems hard to believe. He received 12% in 2020.

  6. Her polling as a hypothetical candidate doesn’t tell us much. The argument for her is that she has the opportunity to campaign and grow her share into a lead whereas Biden is incapable of improving his numbers, which I strongly believe. In this highly polarized environment where record numbers of voters dislike both candidates, the value of a fresh face is priceless.

  7. People should go look at those same polls and see that kamala’s disapproval ratings are lower than Bidens, it’s not just about approval. There are a lot of people that haven’t decided on her yet.

  8. Honestly anybody who cares about democracy and doesn’t want to let someone who’s mentally deranged back in the White House is excited about the Harris candidacy

  9. Great news! I’m not Black*, but I can’t wait to vote either.

  10. I seriously think Kamala had a MUCH harder job debating trump than Obama ever did debating McCain and Romney. She did an amazing job and she deserves the win 100%. Whether some voters get of their asses and make up their minds in swing states is another issue.

If you’re in a swing state, please explain how exactly an undecided voters vote could help determine the election and get them to the polls. They need to do their civic duty for once in their gosh darned life.

  11. Best get out and vote then too. We need all the votes we can get and lock the maga movement back in the basement.

  12. I’m worried about black men moving towards Trump. Is that logically sound or am I just making that up?

  13. Interesting that the Dems get less support among Black voters drops as age decreases.

  14. Unsurprising. In 2008 they got to vote for Obama. This year they get to vote for Harris and AGAINST that wretched orange pile of immorality. I’d be more hype about the latter too.

  15. God I hope so. The Black vote in America was HUGE in 2008. McCain didn’t stand a chance. A large non-white and female turnout will result is decisive victory for Kamala and Tim.

  16. I’ve looked at the voting stats by demographic… and I just want to say, thank you Black women, for saving democracy. I hope the rest of us don’t fail you like we have so many times before.

  17. There is so much excitement about the Harris/Walz ticket!

I don’t see any excitement for Trump. I see excuses for his behavior and fear tactics based on debunked data. He has done nothing to bring anyone under his tent and seems to lose people everyday.

That said, fear is a powerful motivator, it doesn’t matter whether the fear has a factual basis. Trump can still win this if we do not get out and vote. It is close.

In the swing states the last time, it mattered whether 1 in a thousand voters (in some cases 1 in 10,000 voters) made it to the polls. This means that every new vote is as powerful as thousands of reliable votes. If you can bring several new people to the polls, it is the equivalent of donating hundreds of dollars. Everyone can make a difference, we just need to care.

  18. OK, so about 6 to 12 hours before the next – “How Trump has made MASSIVE inroads into the Black Vote” post

  19. This white rural voter is super excited too! We’re not all backwards rednecks. Looking forward to voting with all my fellow reasonable humans of all varieties to protect our democracy, our rights, and soundly defeat those who wish to divide us.

    WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!

  20. In 2020, white women who voted, they voted 53% for Trump. Let that sink in.

  21. They better be, racist policies against the inner cities are definitely incoming if donOld wins. Plus more, you know… fuck the poor people shit.

  22. We didn’t have trump back then

We thought bush was the worst it would get

  23. I’m not terribly surprised. 2008 we were all tired of Bush but respected the hell out of McCain. Obama had more cha and magic about him, partly because he was still so young and unknown. He’s also the most electric orator of our times, or so it seemed in 2008.

Harris is way more qualified than Obama was and she isn’t as talented a speaker, but the Trump fatigue is worse than the Bush fatigue ever got.

  24. I’m kind of confused because I keep seeing that she’s not doing well with black men but then I see she’s doing great with black voters, is she just dominating the black women vote and turnout to that extreme?

  25. Kamala is a looot like my own mother in a lot of ways. Her mannerisms, the way she speaks, the way she *laughs*.

When Republicans attack her for shallow shit like her laugh, it literally enrages me on a primal level. They are attacking me and my family personally, because my mother is so similar.

So yeah I’m enthusiastic about voting for kamala, and not the racist orange who literally keeps spreading lies and hate against black people *specifically*

  26. Polls are meaningless. Utter rubbish. All of the polls said Hillary was going to win and that Trump would lose. We will see on election night.

  27. Most Awesome!! The GOP will do everything it can to prevent people from voting especially those that aren’t white
Be on guard! Check your voter registration
Make sure you have proper ID in case they have changed that
They will do anything they can to make your vote not count

  28. It’s the enthusiasm and mass increase in voter registration, right AFTER Kamala became the nominee, makes me think the polls are going to be quite off, but in the Democrats favor.

Obviously, I could be wrong, but man I don’t think it’s that unlikely she takes NC and every other swing state.

  29. I talked to some of my black coworkers about this presidential race and their answers were not only surprising but disappointing. One is voting for Kamala only because she is also a woman. She even said “I don’t care if she is black or whatever she wants to be, but she is a woman and I’ll vote for her for that”. But the other 2 I talked to were black men and they think “both sides are bad”. I was appalled and asked to elaborate. One started talking about “immigrants bad”. And another said he didn’t know anything about her to vote for her. Basically what I want to say is don’t get too excited. Vote, vote, vote! So we don’t repeat the same mistake as we made when Hilary was running by assuming she was gonna obviously win.

  30. Kamala Harris is qualified, intelligent, ready to lead. that she is black, biracial, female is simply a matter of coincidence.

she deserves our vote because she can lead. It’s time.
