Can we talk about the obvious long-term solution to the current problem?

  1. Is it me or does it look like a hippo, rotated about 45° counter-clockwise,with its mouth open about to eat Corsica and Sardinia? 🤔

  2. A load of low income, low productivity social conservatives with a massive vested interest in keeping hydrocarbons dominant. Sounds like a great place to give a veto over EU policy to.

  3. I mean ideally it would be for the best, but I dont see it happening at all, because France and Germany would be unwilling to share the power they have in the EU with Russia, along with the EU being nowadays too involved with social policies instead of focusing more on economic, which causes unrest with even its current members, Russia wiuld never even consider it until the EU stayed out of social policy.

And thats just the tip of the iceberg.
Havent even touched nato, the economic effect on industries and other things that would need to change.

Do i think it would be worth it? If it was possible, sure. But I dont think it will be for a very long time when the EU is unable to even deal with things in its current form.
