Explanation: this is an article piece about Dostoevsky’s visit of the Augustinergasse Museum where he was so fascinated by Holbein’s Dead Christ in a Tomb that he took a chair to climb and have a closer look at the painting. His wife at the time was scared that him goofing around would lead to a fine.

    I found it amusing that even 200 years ago Switzerland was known for having strict rules and fine for everything.
