  1. the traditional Greek kebab… and Turkish Gyros… they got it sorted in Iceland

  2. tell me that you have no idea about the shop you open or the things you sell/cook without telling me you have no idea

  3. I’m sure they’re ignorant of the places of origin and especially the Greek-Turk relations

  4. Have been there, it was a solid 3.5/10.

If I could afford to get drunk in Iceland it might have been a 6.5, but since a ‘pint’ (not even a real pint) cost something like £9/10it was near impossible to get drunk enough give this place a proper rating.

  5. (Not so) fun fact: That place is closed bc it got raided a month or two ago on suspicion of human trafficking and money laundering

Seems to quite a few such examples of it in Reykjavík and Iceland in general

  6. I mean it’s the same dish essentially. Particularly since you’re getting a variant adapted to local tastes anyway (a friend from Turkey once tried kebab in Zagreb and I think he wanted to end it all right then and there).

  7. That place got into legal trouble because police discovered that some of its employees were living in the basement.

  8. Holly…
That’s looks like a real typical tourist trap restaurant. (Even though it’s not a greek restaurant in Greece)
