  1. “he could be any one of us”

“He could be in this very room! He could be you. He could be me! He could even be-“

  2. It’s kind of crazy to think about, but there’s just no way to narrow this down to a specific criminal profile, or demographic, it could genuinely be any French man living nearby. No one ever developed a conscience and reported him, everyone he advertised his wife to responded positively. There are monsters who walk among us.

  3. How did he find the men? Even with the internet I’m struggling to think of a way to get in contact with that many men in the local area without it being absurdly public.

  4. “What are you going to do? Just walk in and arrest the whole village?!”

  5. Just saw this story on X.

TLDR: Guy was in a store filming upskirts video of multiple woman when a security guard caught him and went above and beyond for them to press charges. This started an investigation and the footage of this guy raping was exposed like that.

  6. That poor woman, and all the women and girls in that village, who must be feeling paranoid and scared now, about who might be involved.

  7. I would like to salute the courage of this woman. From day one she insisted the entire trial to be as public (and publicized) as legally possible; when the judges proposed a closed hearing (as there will be pictures and videos of what happened) she said “no”. She’s incredibly strong.

And I hope it will help to change some disgusting behaviors in my country. If there were so many perpetrators, it doesn’t mean “it can be anyone” no. That narrative only *protects* them, by not targeting any group in particular. **If there were so many perpetrators that’s because the entire swingers culture is murky as hell**, those people aren’t “anyone”: they have addresses, clubs, dedicated apps
