I still find the nomenclature of airborne troops in RF interesting. They are not being inserted by paradrop or helicopter, nor are they apparently air-mobile in any way. Is this just a cheap attempt to appear more capable than other troops? The 82nd and 101st really were/are badasses in the legacy of the US Army; these guys however would get so drunk they forget to wear a chute?

2nd army in Russia went from a meme to reality.
That occupying Russian troops get mauled in Donetsk and Luhansk is one thing. But getting their assets kicked on their own national territory is truly embarrassing.
