Hello! The girlfriend and I are planning a trip the last week of May and first week of June. We are nature lovers and want to focus on that aspect of visiting Norway.
We are planning to rent a camper van while we are there for the added flexibility but I have some concerns about the size. We obviously prefer something bigger like https://www.benzinicampers.com/en/product/campervan-dante/ as it has standing room and an emergency bathroom! But we're also looking at something like https://www.benzinicampers.com/en/product/campervan-ford-automat/ to be more mobile and hopefully be easier to drive where we want to be! Any advice? Any reason we should avoid the larger van?? Bonus question, favorite places to spend a night in western or central Norway?? Lastly, before anyone comment just use a tent, we've already ruled that out for multiple reasons! Thanks for the help!!

Just got back from a two week Norway road trip in an SUV (we stayed in cabins).
All I have to say is… A LOT of roads are very narrow and we witnessed a lot of camper vans struggling with this. Just be prepared to pull over in the bump-outs to let people through. Factor that into your travel-time. Have fun though! Such a beautiful country. I’m annoyed to be back home. Haha.
