Well this post will most likely be downvoted to hell by the ”herd” but yes, Ukraine’s shape today was basically ”painted” by the Soviet Union. But that doesn’t give Russia any right today to repair the wrongs of the past. If we all went to war for past territories we would be in perpetual hell.
Leaving the territories things aside. Before the whole damn internet suffered mass amnesia, Ukraine wasn’t the pro-EU, pro-democracy, pro-liberty chill country as it’s made out to be today. It was a country that treated it’s minorities badly, had a serious neo-nazi problem, constantly beefed with it’s western neighbours regarding small territories, was a safe heaven for crime and corruption and so on.
A few people at a protest hang EU flags and suddenly everything is forgotten.
”Enemy” is a strong word but this situation is more of a ”the enemy of my enemy is my friend” type of deals.
Are we calling conquest now an occupation?
I guess then that means America is still occupying native American lands
