Endgame of Russia-Ukraine war ‘in sight’ as Putin reels from ‘enormous troop losses’ | Mark Urban

“If Kamala Harris wins, President Putin will have some very hard reckoning to do.”

An end to the Russia-Ukraine war maybe close as Moscow struggles to replenish its forces after losing approximately 600,000 soldiers during the conflict, claims writer and columnist for the Times Mark Urban.

  1. What is Boris Johnson's role exactly? It is very odd that he has a Union Jack behind him. Is he really acting on behalf of a Labour Government? Or some arms company maybe?

  2. Pretty sad Russians value their life so little, oh well. They died in the double-digit millions in WW2 and now die in the thousands every 2-3 days. Form Stalin to Putin, nothing really has changed.

What's more hilarious is they think they'll be going heaven after all they've done. Israel and Russia proved how fake religion is.

  3. It’s a grim equation: pay Russian non skilled men a fortune to fight in Ukraine, but they won’t have to pay the salary for very long for a lot of them….

  4. 1. The United States and Britain organized a coup in Ukraine in 2014, then provoked Russia to attack Ukraine for eight years in order to justify imposing sanctions, the sanctions were supposed to destroy the Russian economy just as they destroyed the USSR in 91. but here everything went wrong according to plan , which is why the West is hesitating with military assistance , because the bet was on the collapse of the economy .

  5. Boris Johnson is a war criminal, responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians, if he hadn't stopped Zhelenski signing his agreement with Russia in 2022, now they would be alive an Ukraine would had kept more territories, but of course the weapon industry and politicians wouldn't had made so much money, they couldn't miss such an opportunity, making billions while blaming Putin for the loss of Ukraine and ukranians (not worthy, not even member of NATO!)

  6. Just watched David Lammy on the BBC. He said, "No single weapon has won a war." Really? Well, that is not what the Japanese thought when the Atom bombs dropped on Japan in WW11.

  7. delusional………… the russian deficit spending is a fraction of the american deficit. they can pay russian and mercenary forces for years going forward. Remember, these are the people who told you russia was on the verge of collapse and out of munitions a year ago. ukraine is losing ground slowly but steadily every day. kursk was a mistake and putin will likely nuke the retreating uke kursk forces as they get to the edge of HIS territory.

  8. The Ukrainians have used American technology against the Russians even on Russian territory since the beginning of the war. They've used Starlink, GPS, spy satellites, etc. So Putin's talking point is baloney.

  9. Of course the Ukrainians are exhausted, but they will never give up, considering the alternative. Why do we force them to suffer so much longer than necessary?

  10. Nobody but nobody seems to care about the children that the Putin government has abducted over the past several years. Confirmed that at least 20,000 under 17’s since the full scale invasion and thought to be very many more. Where do these “assets” come in this ‘insightful’ analysis of how the Ukrainian people may want to ‘deal’ their way out of this horrific illegal invasion. It is at least the equivalent of every under16 being abducted from the borough of Woking by the North Koreans for reeducation and then being largely forgotten about in the interests of diplomatic relations. For gods sake people, do not become the same thoughtless, heartless number crunchers we prided ourselves of being the better of.
