Security of Royal Albert Hall confiscated EU flags following the policy that items to be removed “including those from proscribed groups, flags related to protest, hatred”.
Bollocks. There were loads of them in evidence.

Why? What is so bad about some paper or material attached to a stick?
Last time I checked the EU wasn’t a proscribed organisation and nor is the EU flag offensive in anyway.

Good. There is a place for your politically motivated statements. A night aimed at British patriotism isn’t really it. I can’t get particularly fired up about this issue but I can see why it annoys people and it’s a bit pathetic being all performative with a “look at me” flag on that particular night.
Well they did a poor job, I only caught a little of it but saw large numbers of EU flags.
