Hello! Everyone.
I am a (22male) student from Denmark!

I am planning a vacation-birthday present for my girlfriend.

I wa looking at “Santa claus city”

I read somewhere on here. That the santa claus city is more of a sourvenir shop place, and that it maybe is a poi for half a day, but Nothing more.

I saw someone say, that it is more worth to find husky rides nearby.. any suggestions?

Out vacation i planned around valentine in february. Maybe 3 nights. Any ideas on what we can do on the other days?
I loved the outdoor “snow iglos” with the glass roof, and was looking on booking them. Is it worth?

I found some accoadations in the kakslauttanen arctic resort. Is it a good place or i there a better alternative?

I also looked at the “glass appartments”

On a whole other note,: Should we come in a car? Or is it to freezy in the winter? Is it better to fly and then take a bus or taxi? Are taxis expensive in finland?

A lot of questions.. hope someone can help.

  1. If you like resorts like Disneyworld, then maybe yes. A car is definitely an advantage in Lapland. You can take a night train with a car from Turku or Helsinki to Lapland so you don’t have to drive so much. Remember to equip your car with winter tires.

Taxis can be very expensive in Finland, and so are other modes of transport.

  2. Fly to Rovaniemi. You will waste 20 hours going back and forth with the car from the southern Finland.

Husky ride and ice hotel is nice if you can afford it. You can also try to ski or go to a snow shoe trek. If you do a snow shoe trek do it with a guide
