  1. Good, If it can not survive on its own then it doesn’t deserve to exist.

  2. Problem with the Stadium is that after the tournament it won’t be used. The northern island government should have to prove that it won’t be left abandoned if they want the money

  3. Stormont and the GAA had the opportunity to do this over ten years ago at a fraction of the cost. As it is they dithered and its been left to rot for a decade.

  4. Putting money into a stadium commemorating a peadophile (the veracity of his diaries is no longer seriously debated) seems dubious to me.

  5. £310m for a stadium named after a traitor and only used by one part of the community in NI? No wonder the govt has reluctant to fund it.

    The Irish government have just come into a big windfall, if GAA stuff is their national sport…why can’t they pay for it?

  6. Spending all that when they’ve got Croke Park is utter nonsense to begin with. Why can’t they just use that for the Euros?
