They need to stop making them all together. We’re over-saturated with that garbage
Serious? They’ve been making stuff almost exclusively for kids for the last 25 years. The only serious thing is *Andor*, which also happens to be the best thing Star Wars has going.
Yes, please. No more silly culture wars. Just go back to fun stories with fun characters. Lando to the rescue!
Instead of leaving the Skywalker universe, Lucasfilm and Disney keep writing content about war and conflict eras of the Republic. How much fun is there in war?
A Lando movie could be Solo but having even more fun with the material.
We deserve a Lando movie
Imo their attempt at humor is weak and cringe worthy. I much prefer Andor and Rogue One to anything done since the original trilogy
A large amount of fans prefer “serious” Star Wars. Empire, Rogue One and Andor are all my favourite entries. High stakes, serious adult shit is what the die hards actually want.
I love the idea of a Star Wars that at first glance seems like a comedy but it’s only because the characters all use humor to deal with oppression from the empire.
It should be about hope not joy.
I honestly doubt if Star over the last 7-8 years has any sense of story or direction for it to be serious or fun or entertaining. Other than very few exceptions it mostly been pathetically written mediocrity filled garbage one after the other
As long as the comedy feel organic and simply comes from how the characters interact with each other. And not the bathos humor where the movie basically stops just to tell a joke and postulates to the audience saying “please laugh now.”
Have the “jokes” say something about the characters or world or situation so that even if someone doesn’t laugh out loud, everyone will still get something out of it.
Disney (and not Glover) will fuck it up.
Start letting them lean into the kung fu aspects, oh wait :/
I don’t really care for the tone as long as it’s good and enjoyable to watch.
Considering his experience on Solo, where the directors were fired for making a fun, action-comedy…I dont blame him for saying SW is serious.
I’m honestly sick of everything needing to be a comedy these days. It’s suffocating when I just want to feel something deeper than a cheap laugh.
Hey side note so is Atlanta worth checking out or
As long as its good. Then aight
‘‘Way Too Serious’
‘We Have a Responsibility to Have Enjoyment’
Solo was the best Disney Star Wars film and I’ll die on this hill. The writing was just fun and felt the most like the original trilogy.
