GERMAN MUSIC: Found this LP selling where I live (Brazil) and it made me wonder: Was this guy famous in Germany? How is he nowadays? Any information or curiosities about the album? Hard to find anything online.

  1. He is a member of one the lesser known Krautrock bands of that time, which was a pretty somewhat underground super artsy hippielike music movement in Germany inspired by bands like Pink Floyd. Even the biggest Krautrock groups were quite underground. Therefore the dude is bound to be virtually unknown.

Google gives us the following infos on the guy: It seems, he still has homepage though and is doing small concerts. The album, you own is actually self-published and the guy didn’t even have a record contract at that time.

Here is a photo of how he looked back then:

  2. Yeah, he is quite famous, one of his songs got more than 30 views in youtube.
Most of his videos have 2-4 views, so not even his family and friends like his music.

Hard to find anything online? Really?

Looks like his stuff is slightly rare. That record you have pictured was self-released and only pressed once. There are 9 copies for sale on Discogs marketplace. Is it interesting music? Seems to be late 1970s folk stuff?

Judging by the releases on there, I doubt he’s famous, nor that he ever was very famous. Apparently he gave concerts but it sounds like they were small-scale things.

  4. No, never heard of the guy. I searched on iMusic and found two albums. Listened briefly, 2times pass, no, he was never famous.
