  1. > “Well, with ‘Striptease,’ it was as if I had betrayed women, and with ‘G.I. Jane,’ it was as if I had betrayed men,” Moore said. “But I think the interesting piece is that when I became the highest-paid actress — why is it that, at that moment, the choice was to bring me down? I don’t take this personally. I think anyone who had been in the position that was the first to get that kind of equality of pay would probably have taken a hit. But because I did a film that was dealing with the world of stripping and the body, I was extremely shamed.”

  2. She definitely broke major ground for female actresses. Kudos to her for her career.

  3. NGL, half the time I’d put that VHS on, I’d end up watching the whole movie. Great cast, and it has great comedic parts as well.

  4. Just found out striptease was based on a book by Carl Hiaasen- who wrote the book that Bad Monkey is based off of. He’s pretty hilarious with the dark humor.

  5. Because Bruce Willis gets butts in seats. More than Demi Moore

  6. So… does she think everyone who worked the same amount of hours on the movie should have been paid 12.5 million?

  7. She made a lot of connection at a real young age, with the top dogs. Right?

  8. Actors at that time got paid based upon how many people they got into cinemas. That’s it. Had nothing to do with gender or amount of time worked and everything to do with popularity.
