  3. Eve is a real 1. Crazy that at the time she was only the 3rd female rapper to chart on the Billboard 200. I could see how she has PTSD, the rap industry was beyond toxic to women back then. It still is, but it was vile in 90s/early 00s.

    Roxanne was the first female MC with major marketing and promotion, she had the first two rap videos made by a female artist, she dealt with an industry that had never had a female in her position, she had ‘beefs’ with the 3 guys in the U.T.F.O crew, Kangol, the Educated Rapper and the Doctor, Roxanne even had another female rapper try and steal her likeness and release albums, that is where the Real Roxanne stems from.

    This comment was an old skool throwback, it was not meant for everyone, just those that remember and know, to try and see it as anything other is projection from those who feel the need to protect, I get it, but you didn’t get the reference made. It’s ok, it really is. Go listen to Roxanne and U.T.F.O.

  25. I think it’s insulting to people who actually have ptsd to go around making claims like that. Obviously being a woman in hiphop during that time would have been very difficult but ptsd is horrific mental illness that can make life a living hell for people who suffer from it. Unless a doctor has diagnosed her with it, she should not go around claiming that cause it leads to people not taking ptsd seriously.
