  1. Maybe they can have part of Kursk back minus a 20km buffer zone

  2. Duh

Because you can never increase the stakes, only lower them, during any negotiations.

Unless you’re russia I suppose, but still.

  3. The first country to suggest ceding territory again, should start by offering some of their own to sweeten the deal.

  4. “Why doesn’t Ukraine want to negotiate 🥲”

*Russia executes a POW with a sword*

  5. A ceasefire would be worthless. My money would be a settlement based on what Finland had to sign in 1944.

  6. Russia needs to leave *ALL* of Ukraine, including Crimea. They need to get the fuck out and never come back.
Ukraine gets to join NATO and the EU, and any other organizations they want to join. No concessions.

  7. Would the US or any western country cede territory? No we would not. We are hypocrites.

We only want them to cede land and ceasefire because everything is costing us more. Western countries live in a bubble and when that bubble is strained, they do not care about anyone else.

If the US was in this war and Russia did to Alaskan towns what they did to Bucha. No doubt, a nuke would be dropped.

  8. Good.

This should be clear to all those pushing for early peace talks, including russia.

  9. Have the US trade lifting of all sanctions for an agreed timeframe (say 10 years), in exchange for the complete withdrawal of russian forces from all Ukrainian lands, including Crimea. Ukraine to withdraw from Kursk on the completion of the russian troop departure.

  10. And it damn well shouldn’t, it wouldn’t be very reasonable to cede territory in a war you will win.

Encouraging authoritarian states by rewarding them territory is a slippery slope best left in the trash.
