Surprise move from Kremlin in Crimea! Russian defenses at Kursk completely collapsed?

In a striking turn of events, Ukraine’s military operation in the Kursk region has exposed significant vulnerabilities within the Russian military, resulting in a situation that can only be described as a fiasco for Moscow. With elite Ukrainian units capturing over 100 villages and controlling approximately 1,500 square kilometers, critical questions arise: Why has Russia struggled to defend its own territory, and what does this reveal about its military capabilities?

As the Russian army attempts to bolster its defenses by relocating equipment from Crimea and mobilizing additional troops, it remains largely ineffective in retaking ground. Reports indicate systemic issues within Russia’s defense apparatus—rooted in years of mismanagement and an overestimation of military strength. Despite claiming vast troop deployments and modernized equipment, Russian forces have made only marginal gains, unable to capitalize on their home-field advantages in Kursk’s familiar terrain.

This failure raises pressing concerns: How will this impact Russia’s long-term military strategy, and what does it mean for the balance of power in the ongoing conflict? Join us as we delve deeper into the unfolding situation and its implications for both sides.

  1. Ukraine planned out Kursk attack and had plan how to create a defensive position. Russian troops can’t get past the river splitting Kursk. Drawing soldiers from Ukraine to Kursk was the plan.

  2. Hilarious drivel! Ukraine invaded some fields and small farming villages! Kursk was a very stupid action by the Zelensky puppet!

  3. It's not the soldiers we should hate because they feel terrible, and often have neither food, water or weapons and wear uniforms from the 80s because, among other things, Russia's Putin & his generals are forcing the soldiers to die…. I pray for the soldiers on both sides and that they may come home unharmed to their families and I pray for peace and that Putin and his generals will lose power on one side or another way!

  4. Soldiers fresh out of Initial Entry Training have been exposed to any individual task two or three times at most. They need practice to make responses automatic. Further, they need additional training to learn to cooperate as a unit. The Russians have an additional problem. They either keep all of their experienced personnel together to create experienced units, or split them up to provide sergeants for the units heavy in recent trainees.
The old Soviet Union was also known for restricting maps to officers. The officer goes down, no one in the platoon knows where they are.

  5. "It's time to start telling the truth and stop the propaganda. Ukraine is retreating and the Russians are advancing, regardless of who you support. Let's put an end to this fu*k*ng war so that the young men and women of Ukraine and Russia can go back to their homes."

  6. Putin has killed or maimed over 600 000 Russian soldiers, bombed Sudzha, stolen over $200 million USD from the Russian people, created 19% inflation in the country and rising, destroyed Georgia, Chechnya, and parts of Ukraine and Russians still blindly obey him. He is an ugly, psychopathic butcher not a leader. He only knows how to kill. God save the world from this madman. Anyone who negotiates with him is a fool.

  7. Putin, watch the skies over Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg, it might start raining blue and yellow. That’s the color of Ukraines card board drones, thousands of them.

  8. OK, Russia is moving equipment, is Ukraine attacking that equipment so it can’t be used? Otherwise we are watching setup for a future Ukrainian loss.

  9. believe Russia will continue to have major problems.. they are poorly led and poorly supplied….why should these young Russian boys die for Putin?…God bless Ukraine!

  10. Looks like the AFU is preparing the Crimean peninsula for liberation. The Kerch bridge is badly damaged and can only carry light trains and traffic. The northern route to resupply is under AFU fire control. And they have been destroying the air defence, ferries and landing craft at an alarming rate.

The offensive in Kursk seems to be designed to take away all the A level troops and leave it with only B and C level. A is trained troops with modern weapons. B is mobilised troops with older weapons and C is untrained and ancient weapons.
