  3. Trump didn't end a single conflict during his term. He didn't even end a conflict on his own tweets. If he truly had a plan for ending the war, why do we need to wait for him to be president. That alone shows his greed for power and vanity.

  11. The key factor in Russia’s invasion was about Ukraine’s intention to join the EU economic block (which sometimes is a precursor to joining NATO). The Donbas region and Crimea separated in 2014 primarily because residents there are mostly Pro-Yanukovych supporters who oppose the ousting by Pro-EU supporters who backed President Poroshenko. The new President Poroshenko proceeded to shell the Donbas region to bring it back under Kiev control. This conflict between Kiev and the donbas region continues today. In 2022, Russia has had enough and decided to intervene to prevent Kiev joining EU. Russia proposed a peace plan which was agreed upon by one of Ukraine’s officials in Istanbul. But the deal was scrubbed. Why? I believed Zelensky had a better deal and gambled on standing firm, with assurances from Biden. Biden said himself on national tv that he will fully back Zelensky. With this assurance, Zelensky scrubbed the deal with Putin. Few days later, Russia invaded. Initially the conflict was a stalemate, but as Russia learned and adapted, they now have the upper hand. The Ukrainian manpower shortage is now so severe, nearly everyday blocks of land are being forfeited.

    Trump had said he will sit down with both Zelensky and Putin, to allow both belligerents to come to terms. Trump would not allow Ukraine to be seized by Russia, and Putin himself would not seize the entirety of Ukraine. Putin only wants that Ukraine will not join NATO/EU.
    Trump will be able to achieve this because the US practically bankrolls Ukraine’s war effort. Simply a threat to withhold ammunition is more than enough leverage to make Zelensky reconsider. Without ammunition the Ukraine war effort grinds to a halt within a month. The lack of ammunition was a decisive factor in past conflicts such as the Ethiopian war against Eritrean independence in the 1980s and South Vietnam’s conflict against the North Vietnamese after 1973.

    The Taliban was popularly described as a terrorist group, but it was in fact a nationalist movement founded by Pashtun students in the early 1990s. The word Taliban means ‘Students’ in Pashto. The founder Mullah Omar was trained as one of the Mujahedeen through one of Pakistan’s inter service intelligence (ISI) anti-Soviet program funded by the U.S. After the fall of Kabul and soviet backed President Najibullah in 1992, the country fell into a state of conflicts between rival factions. One of these factions was the Taliban. Taliban managed to capture Kabul in 1996 and most of Afghanistan except areas held by the northern alliance group. Mullah omar became afghanistan’s de facto president. Then fatefully in 2001, the Taliban debated but ultimately refused to hand over Bin Laden, leading to the US intervention. Bin Laden was found and neutralize in Pakistan in 2011, a short distance away from Pakistan’s premier military academy. Ironically Pakistan was a key US ally in the region. America battled the Taliban from 2001 until 2021, when they finally recaptured Kabul. Trump made a deal with the Taliban in Doha in early 2021 (the Doha agreement) because clearly there was no military solution in Afghanistan. Many members of the public were in support. However, despite US encouragement, the Afghan government under President Ashraf Ghani failed to find a suitable resolution with the Taliban by themselves and continues to conflict. Disagreements concerning the details of the prisoner swap agreement strained peace talks between Kabul and the Taliban.
    The Doha accord stipulates that America would reduce its forces from 13,000 to 8,600 by July 2020. 2nd, a full withdrawal must be completed by May 1, 2021. The accord also stipulates that 5 American bases are to be closed within 135 days and economic sanctions lifted by August 27, 2020. The agreement was endorsed by Pakistan, China, Russia, India, and was unanimously approved by the UN security council. Biden extended the deadline for full withdrawal from the agreed upon date of May 1 to September 11, but settled on August 31. This was in direct violation of the Doha agreement. This precipitated into what we now call a botched withdrawal attributed to Biden where 13 service member had died.

  13. Trump's strategy is very simple and effective. Peace through strength and squeeze the life out of your enemies by destroying their economy. Trump built up our military by giving them billions of dollars to make them happy and to scare our enemies out of any new wars and that's why he started zero wars. Also, he squeezed the life out of Iran by destroying their economy and did the same thing with ISIS by drying up their financial support which was coming from the Golf countries and then ended them without any major escalations. So, if you don't understand his strategy then I am sorry to tell you that you are brain washed. Elections have consequences, if you didn't vote for Trump then there is blood on your hands. Simple and Clear.

  19. We are in this mess with Ukraine and Russia because of his corrupt government. He tried to undermine deals made with Ukraine before he was president. Tried to destroy NATO. he will just handover Ukraine to Putin and call a victory. Voting Kamala. He is a loose cannon, damaged goods. No more.

  36. Tariffs aren't necessarily good for the economy or smaller businesses ic nit thought out. In his first term, Trump placed restrictions on imported solar panels without warning. For the businesses that were buying, installing, and sometimes providing financing of solar panels, this almost destroyed the businesses because they couldn't prepare and have stock on hand while American factories were funded, built, tested, and operational. Off-shoring manufacturing was never a good idea, but the transition back cannot be done so quickly without some significant problems. I'm all for stopping the march into WW III and to stop funding if Ukraine and Israel (the have crossed the line into terrorism with the pager attacks), close the borders, and bring money back home. But giving large businesses tax breaks isn't a good idea, trickle-down economics doesn't work, it just goes to the C-suite and wall street and not employee salaries or benefits. Mixed bag here, wishing RFK Jr was still running in all states.
