  22. Once again, moving in the right circles gets you a lesser sentence. This is a national disgrace. While judges have guidelines they also have a responsibility to protect the public, and whoever made that judgement has clearly failed on the latter.

  33. Paraphilias like his (Huw Edwards) are NOT the result or any sign of “confusion” about one’s sexual orientation. They may or may not be repetition of abuse, but that’s a separate issue and there is no compulsion to reenact that abuse, if one has experienced it. Sexual orientation has nothing to do, in particular, with an adult sexually using a child. Pedophilia is a mental disorder that will NOT be “voted” off the list of mental disorders listed in the 1970s in the US “DSM”, a book still extant for mainly ordinary US clinicians and billing processing by US health insurers, abd other insurers in its current format (latest forms in use, DSM IV, IV-tr, V… henceforth and so on). Researchers in the USA primarily, as to psychiatry (indeed) use a much simpler, more sensible set of criteria than found in the DIAGNOSTIC AND STATISTICAL MANUAL (DSM).
