Imagine someone getting sentenced 6 month to 3 years in prison for insulting a president or a prime minister.
Clickbait title though. It makes it seem as if the Belgian monarchists are at fault when in reality it is the Spanish that are dealing with batshit insane ultramonarchist laws.
Doesn’t that mean that insulting cops is also against free speech?
If you don’t want to be the butt of jokes, you shouldn’t be the king of Belgium in the first place.
Belgium basically saying Spain isn’t a democracy for the second time.
I don’t feel like anyone should insult anyone per se, but that might just be me.
Doesn’t mean I think it should be illegal. Hard problem, and almost impossible to make a proper law about.
