I work for the government, no matter how much I try nobody gives a shit about wasting money, because even if you do you are never acknowledged and the money will be gobbled up elsewhere. I am the only one in my office who consistently works towards saving the taxpayers money. In 12 years I’ve heard maybe two coworkers even bring it up. There is no way to make a budgeted agency without competition efficient.

Milton was a fascist pure and simple. Pinochet implemented his ideas to wreck his economy. Milton hated any revenue going to support public infrastructure that business required to operate. I think he took his positions to simply appeal to a particular group of men that needed justification for implementing destructive policy. Milton was their go to guy. Milton hated Keynes out of jealousy for one thing and I think it goaded him his whole life.

If you put a corporation in charge of it, there’d be no sand because it would have been sold off. It’s no different than the entire rest of the world’s natural resources. The weird mentality some of these people have about the ills of government when corporations are responsible for the utter destruction of the world as we know it is mind boggling.
