Honestly, the fact that we can be at this point in history and still allow torture and maiming of wild animals for fun makes me despair that we’re anything but fucked. I know it’s not the most important thing on everybody’s radar right now, but it’s literally a case of saying ‘this is now illegal, stop it’. Any argument to preserve it is disingenuous or outright fallacious. It’s the ultimate expression of class privilege.

It’s so difficult to prove in court that these throwbacks are deliberately hunting foxes they feel they can carry on with Impunity.

Fox hunting was banned when the Hunting Act came into force in February 2005 but the hunting world invented so called trail hunting, though this has become increasingly discredited and revealed as an attempt to deceive the public, police and courts
It is permitted to use up to two dogs to chase foxes out of hiding under the current legislation And a lot of people miss that (even if it’s wrong)
