It’s possible it sank, but they must have better evidence than that satellite image right?
The object in the image looks exactly like a cranes shadow, not a sunken sub
The shadow goes from thick to thin, it even has holes that match what a crane looks like
Is this the best “evidence” they can provide?
The identity of this submarine is interesting. The shipyard in question is known for building conventional submarines, not nuclear. However, it appears that the Type 041 might be an AIP submarine with a small nuclear reactor. This could track with [observations](http://www.hisutton.com/Chinese-Submarine-With-X-Rudders.html) of a submarine at Wuchang that resembles an elongated Type 039 with a X-form rudder.
