Trump Downplays Tensions With Zelenskiy as He Vows to End War

Former President Donald #Trump and #Ukrainian President Volodymyr #Zelenskiy met Friday to discuss plans to resolve the ongoing war between #Russia and #Ukraine in New York.

The meeting capped a tense week between the Ukrainian leader and Trump, which saw the pair trading barbs in the press and the Republican presidential candidate question #US aid for Kyiv’s fight to repel Russian President Vladimir #Putin invasion.

But standing together in a conference room in Trump Tower, the former president offered praise for Zelenskiy while insisting he wanted to help resolve the conflict.

  12. 😮…thought the Trump campaign canceled the Zelenskyy meeting, after Vance was reportedly called "too radical" and "let him do some reading" and "the idea that the world should end this war at Ukraine's expense is unacceptable" responses by Zelenskyy to Vance's Ukraine strategy.
    Vance is reportedly fuming. 😊
    Don the con, couldn't let Harris get away with the limelight, but I wouldn't trust Trump, unless, Ukraine has $10 million to donate to his campaign, just like Egypt's El-Sisi covertly gave to Trump's 2016 campaign…investigation was squashed.
