‘Leave now’, Foreign Office urges Britons in Lebanon

1. So the British government say that Israel has the right to defend themselves.

   Does Lebanon not have the right to defend itself? What about Palestine? Or Iran? Or any of the other countries in the Middle East Israel are currently attacking?

2. Anyone who doesnt follow this advice or get in contact with the embassy to say that they are stuck NOW and need extraction doesn’t deserve to have our troops be put in danger extracting them out later.

3. I’d imagine the British nationals aren’t part of Hezbollah, and Hezbollah hasn’t been caught doing internal strikes.

   Unless someone else is blowing up civilian areas indiscriminately they should be fine?

4. Don’t know why people need to be told to leave a country that’s being bombed. I mean, if you know it’s being bombed. I imagine it’d be hard to not notice the country you’re living in getting bombed.

5. Why, is somebody indiscriminately bombing civilians there or something?

6. For the people saying “why don’t they just leave”, the answer is “and where would they go?”.
   What do you do when you have to pack all your life in a suitcase and go penniless somewhere else?
